Quality Inspector

Due to growth at British Offsite we are recruiting for a Quality Inspector . You will play a key role in ensuring that we deliver high-quality to our customers, consistently meeting internal standards, customer requirements, and NHBC (National House Building Council) regulations.

Your focus will be on maintaining stringent quality control throughout the manufacturing process, identifying and addressing any potential issues early on, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate with various teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure our products meet the highest quality benchmarks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Timely completion of relevant paperwork alongside compliance with the internal auditing system 
• Accurately observing the methods and equipment manufacturing employees use during production; providing advice to correct errors and increase efficiency where required  
• Effective communication with the wider Quality department so they become aware of any defects in the product(s) and how to repair them 
• Timely communication with suppliers and distributors to inform them of potential problems and discussions on how to solve them 
• Ensure compliance with standards of safety, company policy and legal regulations that apply to the product 
• Efficiently assessing whether the finished product reflects goals set out by the original project plan 
• Accurate reading of engineering drawings and comparing them with the finished product 
• Ensuring digital files and reports on product quality are organised and accessible 
• Timely final inspection and release of goods 
• Any other duties as commensurate with the post 

• Ability to problem-solve and think critically when addressing quality concerns.
• Previous experience in and understanding of working from technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work.
• Competent use of all relevant software, including G Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and customers.
• Knowledge of quality control principles and industry standards.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
